Two goals from marquee man John Aloisi extended Sydney's pre-season unbeaten run to 11 matches with the Moore Park outfit yet to concede a goal against A-League opposition in the warm up games so far.

Lavicka said: "This was another important game during pre-season. We played against a very good opponent, especially in the first half.  They tested us. I am happy."

Another win has not changed the coach's belief that there is still work to do and that players must strive to do even better.

"It is good to reinforce positive habits.  We still have many things to improve but I think we are going the right way," said Lavicka.

The win over the Jets saw former Newcastle favourite Mark Bridge get his first taste of action since returning from his loan spell with Tianjin Teda. The grand final match winner of 2008 came off the bench for the final 25 minutes, replacing skipper Steve Corica.

After a four day camp in Port Macquarie Lavicka's men will be back in action in Sydney at the weekend when they play the last of their state league trials, against Sydney Olympic at Belmore Oval.
