FORMER Queensland Roar striker Simon Lynch is hoping to earn a deal with Scottish outfit Partick Thistle.
The 26-year-old, who struggled for regular starts under Suncorp boss Frank Farina, has returned home after two years in Australia.
If he succeeds in earning himself a contract then one of his new teammates will be former Melbourne Victory defender Simon Storey.
Thistle manager Ian McCall said: "Simon is training with us and we will look at him closely during that time."
Lynch previously had stints with Celtic, Dundee and Preston North End before being signed by former Roar boss Miron Bleiberg.
Before heading home Lynch revealed that Bleiberg had expressed a desire to recruit him for the-then Gold Coast Galaxy franchise.
