PERTH Glory will have captured a tough nut but a fair one if Andy Todd signs on the dotted line, says boss Dave Mitchell.
The Derby County defender is expected to spend the next week in Perth as he decides whether to uproot to the other side of the world.
Although Glory are confident of adding him to their squad, he has yet to sign a contract or undergo a medical.
If both parties are able to reach agreement though Mitchell believes Glory will have a player who will provide plenty of bite.
Mitchell told thewest: "He's a tough nut and no-nonsense but he's not a dirty player.
"He's tough and he plays by the rules and he's exactly what we need."
Glory have already signed Socceroo Jacob Burns while Serbian striker Branko Jelic is thought to be close to agreeing terms.
