ATTACKING midfielder Adrian Trinidad has quit Perth Glory after the Argentinean said he wanted to return to South America.
Trinidad joined Perth for the 2008/09 Hyundai A-League campaign where he played 15 matches and scored one goal.
Coach Dave Mitchell said the 26 year old had asked to return to his native home so he could weigh up his football future but hadn’t ruled out a possible return to Australia.
“He wanted to go back to the familiar surrounds of Argentina and assess what he wanted to do,” Mitchell said.
“It was unfortunately a frustrating year for Adrian, it took him a while to settle into a new country and then he copped a few knocks to his body that meant we weren’t able to see the best of what he had to offer.
“He leaves with fond memories of his time in Perth and with the club. We all wish Adrian the best in whatever he chooses to do.”
Perth Glory coaching staff will continue their review of the entire playing list over the next fortnight while also scouting the globe for new recruits which will bolster the club next season.
