With Brazilian loan striker Leandro Love on the outer at Melbourne Victory, experienced local player Esala Masi could be brought in as a replacement third striker in the pecking order behind Archie Thompson and Danny Allsopp. Masi, who has been one of the VPL's most consistent strikers in the past few seasons for the Oakleigh Cannons, is an experienced Fijian international, and comes with good pedigree into the squad.
