MELBOURNE Victory today confirmed defender Ljubo Milicevic and the club have mutually agreed to go their separate ways.
Victory Football Operations Manager Gary Cole said: "We have reached an agreement with Ljubo Milicevic to mutually terminate his contract and we wish him well for the future."
As the contract has been terminated, Milicevic will not feature in Victory's AFC Champions League 2008 campaign.
But Ljubo has been linked with a possible move to Adelaide United which could yet see him play in Asia.
Ljubo played just two games for Melbourne after being hailed as one of the club'sstar signings ahead of this season.
But he fell foul of management after the infamous Brekkie-gate, and never regained his place in the side.
A club statement added: "There will be no further comment from Melbourne Victory or Ljubo Milicevic."
