Former Socceroos and Leeds United icon Mark Viduka has once again broken his usual silence to offer some transfer advice to the newly resurgent Premier League club.
“I think they need a really top-class finisher and maybe another 10 to thread the balls through," he told TalkSport.
Leeds put on a spirited display against reigning champions Liverpool, with Marcelo Bielsa's side losing 4-3.
While they showed no lack of finishing, Patrick Bamford is not seen as an EPL quality striker after multiple previous opportunities, and the fact their entire front three players were substituted and Rodrigo was on the bench tells its own story.
But Viduka - a big Bielsa fan - says that the renowned tactician knows best.
"To be honest, he doesn't seem to be the sort of guy to change his ways. He sticks to his principles and a good example of that is when they played against Aston Villa," Viduka continued.
"When he gave them a chance to score the goal back, not many people would do that. It shows that he's a true sportsman, a true gentleman and what he has done with Leeds in the last couple of years has been unbelievable.
"I think he'll probably stick to the same way that he's been playing throughout the last couple of years. The way he coaches, I think he can take an average team and get the maximum out of them, get them to perform together as a whole.
"In the Premier League, that's half the job. If you can get the team performing as a whole, who knows where they might end up? I think Bielsa has shown he knows what he's doing in getting the team to play the way he wants to play.
"Hopefully, they can get around mid-table. Hopefully, they can get higher than that. I would love for them to have an unbelievable season and get into the top-five."
