In front of a sea of empty yellow seats, the distance derby ignored the lack of hype to provide a cracking contest.
Sarpreet Singh: 7 - Remember the name. We've just never seen a starting debut like it, a perfect strike into the top corner after two minutes. Considering he almost scored in an earlier substitute appearance from similar range, he's definitely one to watch.
Matija Ljujic: 6 - Fantastic shooting technique and took up dangerous positions, without having a substantial impact on the match, bar a few in-swinging corners. Phoenix need far more than a sharp-shooter.
Nathan Burns: 5.5 - Threatened early, before receding. Much like Wellington's season.
Andrija Kaludjerovic: 6.5 - Looking to break an ever-growing scoring drought, he was willing to force his involvement by playing physical, taking snap shots and providing ambitious flick-ons. Bossed around by Perth's defence for large periods.
Monty Patterson: 5 - Hasn't imposed his quality, seems to lack penetration and quick-thinking for a winger. Subbed at half-time.

Roy Krishna: 7.5 - Brought on for Patterson, immediately benefiting Phoenix. It was telling that he eventually made the difference, but a tad selfish to waste a key opportunity to put Wellington two in front.
Mark McGlinchey: 6 - 200th A-League appearance off the bench without impact.
