Whatever happened to that import? Our A-League special looks at former foreign talents to check what they're up to now.

Sidnei
Ex-Glory
The little Brazilian winger became a fan favourite for a while, signing in 2013 for the WA outfit.
The now-32-year-old Sidnei Sciola Moraes played 42 times for Glory scoring six goals before having his contract mutually terminated in January 2016 to make way for other imports on Kenny Lowe’s roster.
The striker is currently listed with Ethnikos in Greece, though he’s had stints back in Brazil with Ituano and in Mexico at FC Juarez.

Josep Gombau
Ex-Adelaide boss
Spanish manager Josep Gombau made his name as the eccentric, passionate coach of Adelaide United.
After a spell with the national team set up as U-23 coach and with Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos, it seemed he could do no wrong in Australia.
But in 2017 the Spaniard jumped from the FFA and joined Wanderers shortly after the shock departure of Tony Popovic.
After a disastrous six months, Gombau's contract was terminated in April this year after the western Sydney powerhouse failed to make the finals.
By August Gombau had joined the ISL with Delhi Dynamos.
