The A-League will crown its top player for the 2016/17 season when the Johnny Warren Medal is held on Monday night at the Star Event Centre in Sydney.

The 23-year-old won the A-League Golden Boot after 19 strikes during the regular season. Only five of those came from the penalty spot. Brisbane were the lowest scoring side in the top five, with Maclaren contributing almost half their goals with their counter-attacking style reliant on him.
