VETERAN English striker Dean Windass is being linked with a switch to Perth Glory with Adelaide United also rumoured to be interested in the 40-year-old.
Windass fired the goal that secured Premier League football for Hull City in May 2008 but found himself largely out in the cold at the KC Stadium this season as the Tigers battled for Premier League survival. He had a spell out on loan with third tier club Oldham Athletic in the second half of the campaign.
But reports from Victoria suggest the experienced campaigner could be A-League bound, although only after it was revealed that he is close to agreeing a stint in the Victorian Premier League - as a favour to a mate.
Sunshine Georgies coach Andy O'Dell revealed to the Hume Leader that Windass was likely to enjoy a guest spell with the club - the duo having been youth players together at Hull City many years ago.
"Somebody let it out of the hat, and obviously there's a bit of interest from Adelaide and Perth now," O'Dell said.
