EXCLUSIVE: Queensland Roar wing wizard Michael Zullo will appear at this weekend’s Brisbane trials for Foxtel's first ever football reality TV show Football Superstar.
And it’s understood Football Superstar will also engage with the Socceroos in June when the national team is in Australia for the World Cup qualifiers.
After hitting Melbourne for an episode last week, FOX8 TV show Football Superstar will descend on Brisbane this Sunday for more trials at Perry Park for players in the 16-21 age group (register by 9.15am, see details below).
Following the day-long trials at each roadshow venue, computer data will generate a shortlist of 50, who will then be selected for an intensive weekend at Sydney’s training ground where the judges – led by Sydney FC coach John Kosmina – will watch them.
The top 50 will be whittled down to 15 finalists who will spend one month at Sydney FC’s training ground at Macquarie University. Living in a state-of-the-art mansion, they will be given a taste of a footballer’s lifestyle.
The winner of Football Superstar on Foxtel's FOX8 channel will receive a one-year contract with A-League side Sydney FC as well as a one-year scholarship to Macquarie University.
The Football Superstar roadshow trials across Australia will take place at the following venues:
Brisbane: Sunday 20 April 2008 at Perry Park, 95
Abbotsford Road, Bowen Hills, QLD;
Perth: Sunday 27 April 2008 at BGC Stadium, Dorrien
