MOSCOW, May 30 (Sputnik) - Around 700 bus conductors in Moscow will take an express course in basic English ahead of this summer's FIFA World Cup, Deputy Head of Moscow's Transport Department Dmitry Pronin said Wednesday.
"Seven hundred bus conductors... will take an express course to learn the basic skills of communicating with passengers in English. Conductors are learning the most useful English words and phrases at their practice sessions," Pronin told journalists.
He added that those conductors who get the best results after the final tests will be working at the most popular routes.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15 in at 12 stadiums in 11 cities. Moscow will host a total of 12 matches across two arenas, including the opening game and the final.
