MOSCOW, July 12 (Sputnik) - All doping samples taken from footballers before and during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, have turned out negative, FIFA said via its official website on Thursday.
"As the 2018 FIFA World Cup draws to a close, FIFA can today announce that so far, the analyses of all doping tests conducted before and during the competition have yielded negative results," FIFA said in a statement.
According to the statement, the testing program at this year's World Cup was the largest ever with more than 2,700 samples collected before the World Cup got underway and another 626 samples collected during the tournament.
The World Cup will come to an end at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday, with France facing Croatia in the final.
