MOSCOW, July 16 (Sputnik) - Around two million people visited the FIFA Fan Fest at Vorobyovy Gory in Moscow during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, head of Moscow’s Department of Sport and Tourism Nikolay Gulyayev told Sputnik on Monday.
"A total of 1,862,200 spectators watched the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches at Vorobyovy Gory. Taking into account all the events that took place, 1,912,200 people visited the Fan Fest," Gulyayev said.
A total of 62 World Cup matches were broadcast live on ten screens from June 14 to July 15.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and came to its conclusion on Sunday, with France beating Croatia 4-2 in the final. The matches were played in 11 cities across Russia.
