BAKU, June 11 (Sputnik) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will travel to Moscow to watch Thursday's opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the source in the president's administration told Sputnik.
The opening ceremony for the FIFA World Cup will be held at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium and followed by the Russia and Saudi Arabia match on June 14.
"Yes, the head of state will attend the opening," the source said.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15 in 11 host cities.
