MOSCOW, July 9 (Sputnik) - A video showing a group of Brazilian fans throwing eggs at the team’s bus was first published online three months ago and was not related to Brazil’s return home following the World Cup in Russia.
Head coach Tite’s side received a warm welcome from the crowd upon their arrival in Brazil after the five-time champions were eliminated from the tournament following a 2-1 defeat by Belgium in the quarter-finals.
The Spanish news website As.com posted a video on Monday showing angry fans throw eggs at the bus after the players had returned home. The post featured the website's watermark, but it turned out that the video was posted about three months ago.
The Reuters news agency reported that cheering fans welcomed the national team who arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. Tite thanked the supporters for the warm welcome.
