Former Brazil defender and captain Cafu, who played for Brazil for 16 years and won the 1994 and 2002 World Cups with the team, said on Wednesday that this summer's tournament was organized "perfectly" and that it changed the way foreign tourists saw Russia.
"The World Cup in Russia is organized perfectly. I have not seen so many open and kind people in a while. There were a lot of contradictory opinions in the media ahead of the World Cup whether people should come to Russia or not. Now everyone is writing only about good things. This proves once again that the World Cup has changed the way Russia is looked at," Cafu told journalists.
