ST. PETERSBURG, June 11 (Sputnik) - Croatia forward Andrej Kramaric said Monday that it is a pleasure for him to play in the same squad as Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic.
The Croatian national team arrived in Russia's St. Petersburg on Monday where they will be based during this summer's FIFA World Cup.
"For a forward, it's a pleasure to play with such midfielders as Modric and Rakitic. They are two of the best midfielders in the world, they play for the best clubs. Of course, such teammates help me, and the whole team, to score goals," Kramaric said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities.
Croatia will face two-time champions Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria in Group D.
