MOSCOW, July 13 (Sputnik) - The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Arkady Dvorkovich said on Friday that Croatia would not let France play another “boring game” when they meet in the World Cup final.
France and Denmark played out the only 0-0 draw of the World Cup in Moscow on June 26 but both sides reached the Round of 16. Dvorkovich said the match was a “shameful game” and “not the kind of football” crowds wanted to see.
“I am anticipating a very interesting match. This tournament, apart from the France-Denmark game, has been a wonderful spectacle. I am sure that the final will be the same. Croatia will not let France play a boring game for a second time. Who am I favoring? The organizers,” Dvorkovich told journalists.
The 1998 World Cup winners France will face first-time finalists Croatia at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday.
