MOSCOW, July 14 (Sputnik) - Croatia captain Luka Modric said on Saturday that if his country won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, they would dedicate their victory to Croatia goalkeeper Ivan Turina, who had passed away in 2013.
"I've gone through many things, particularly in Dinamo Zagreb, with Ivan Turina. If we beat France tomorrow, we will dedicate our victory to not just Turina, but everybody who's worn Croatia shirt because they represented Croatia in the best way they could," Modric said.
Croatia, whose previous best result was their third place at the 1998 World Cup, will take on the winners of that tournament, France, in the final, which will be played in Moscow on Sunday.
