YEKATERINBURG, June 15 (Sputnik) - Egypt midfielder Sam Morsy said Friday that there is no point in trying to predict the outcome of his country's next match against Russia after the hosts thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0 in the World Cup opener on Thursday.
"Every match goes differently, so I don't think anyone can compare them. It was only one game. It's difficult to predict anything in our match [against Russia] based only on this," Morsy told journalists.
He added that the team is now focusing on their next game against Russia after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Uruguay in their first World Cup match in Yekaterinburg on Friday.
They will take on hosts Russia in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday.
