According to a statement released by the Egyptian FA, Salah will be treated by doctors from both the Egyptian national team and those from his club Liverpool.

Salah damaged ligaments in his shoulder during the first half of the game against Real Madrid on May 26 following a challenge from Sergio Ramos. According to Egyptian Sports Minister Khaled Abd El Aziz, the 25-year-old should recover within the next two weeks, with the player himself saying he is "confident" he will be fit for next month’s World Cup in Russia.

Egypt, along with Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and the host Russia will play in Group A. The tournament kicks off on June 14 with the final taking place on July 15.
