ST. PETERSBURG, July 5 (Sputnik) - England defender John Stones said Thursday that there were no easy games in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
England beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties after their last 16 match ended 1-1 following extra time on Tuesday. The Three Lions will now face Sweden in the quarter-finals in Samara on Saturday.
"It is no easy game [against Sweden]. There are no easy games in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. They've got a lot of quality and resilience as a team... There's no question they're a good team, they wouldn't be where they are, if they weren't," Stones said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
