England are more likely to win the FIFA World Cup quarter-final against Sweden "on paper" but the teams' chances are equal, former Russia striker and head of scouting department at FC Krasnodar Maksim Buznikin told Sputnik on Saturday.
The Three Lions will face Sweden in their quarter-final game in Samara on Saturday with the kick-off set for 17:00 Moscow time.
"It's clear that 'on paper' England are the favorites in the match. But given Sweden's last matches, given the quality of their game, there are simply no favorites in this pair. The teams' chances are 50 to 50," Buznikin said.
Buzikin also said that the match might well end in a goalless draw after 90 minutes and everything would be decided in extra time or in a penalty shootout.
