Rashford suffered the injury on Monday during the squad's final training before heading for Russia. The team earlier said via their official Twitter account that the injury "isn't thought to be serious."

The English national team will be based in St. Petersburg during the World Cup.

Russia will host its first World Cup from June 14 to July 15, with the fixtures set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 cities.

England have been drawn in Group G where they will face Belgium, Panama and Tunisia.
