MOSCOW, July 14 (Sputnik) - Croatia defender Domagoj Vida avoids FIFA sanctions following the investigation of the second video he released after the quarter-final match against Russia.
"After thoroughly analyzing the second video of the Croatian player Domagoy Vida that appeared in the media and having considered the player's submission, the chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee ascertained that it was recorded before the initial sanction imposed in Vida and has concluded that no additional infringement of the FIFA regulations has been committed," FIFA said in a statement posted by BBC journalist Richard Conway on his Twitter account.
FIFA previously issued a warning to Vida after he was filmed praising Ukraine following his side’s victory over Russia.
