MOSCOW, June 8 (Sputnik) - The chairman of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Arkady Dvorkovich said on Friday that Secretary General of FIFA Fatma Samoura told him he looked like a volunteer, and this made him feel “honored”.
Dvorkovich and Samoura attended an exhibition staged by the FIFA World Football Museum in Moscow on Friday, alongside former Brazil World Cup winner Roberto Carlos.
“Roberto, thank you for being here with us. Fatma [Samoura] told me that I looked like a volunteer. It’s an honor for me! It would also be an honor for me to score goals like Roberto, but I’m not a professional footballer,” Dvorkovich told Carlos.
Dvorkovich added that he hoped that World Cup visitors would feel comfortable in Russia.
The World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
