The Moscow authorities have disclosed four cases of hotel services overpricing during the World Cup in Russia, Head of Moscow’s Department of Sport and Tourism Nikolay Gulyayev told Sputnik on Thursday.
Earlier, the Russian media group RBK reported that during the week from 11 June to 17 June, a hotel room rate in Moscow increased 1.5 times compared to the same period in the previous month.
"The Moscow authorities are continuing to monitor accommodation prices in hotels and hostels. In general, all prices are within acceptable limits. We have revealed only four cases of overpricing during the monitoring period," Gulyayev said.
He added that the necessary measures have been taken in these cases.
