MOSCOW, June 11 (Sputnik) - France head coach Didier Deschamps praised on Monday the level of security at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, adding that no one will be able to gain entry to the French national team's hotel.
"We try not to close up during the tournament. We are always open to the media. Speaking about security here, the area where we are living is protected. We use entrance cards at the hotel. Everything is fine in terms of security, no one [unwanted] will get here," Deschamps told journalists.
The French team will be based in the town of Istra, just outside Moscow, during the World Cup.
The 1998 World Cup winners were drawn in Group C and will face Australia in Kazan on June 16, Peru in Yekaterinburg on June 21 and Denmark in Moscow on June 26.
