NIZHNY NOVGOROD, July 5 (Sputnik) - French football fans will march through Nizhny Novgorod ahead of their national team's World Cup quarter-final against Uruguay, the Nizhny Novgorod Region's Sports Ministry said Thursday.
France will face Uruguay at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Friday with the kick-off scheduled for 17:00 local time (14:00 GMT). The match will be the last of the six World Cup games set to be played in Nizhny Novgorod.
"On July 6, at about 15:30 local time fans of the French national team will march along the Volzhskaya embankment towards the stadium before the match between Uruguay and France," the ministry said.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
