MOSCOW, June 12 (Sputnik) - Japanese national football team midfielder Genki Haraguchi has signed a three-year deal with Hannover, the Bundesliga club said on Tuesday.
“Genki Haraguchi wears the jersey of Hannover 96 from next season,” the club said on their official website.
The contract with the 27-year-old, who previously played for Hertha, is valid through June 30, 2021.
Haraguchi has been playing for Hertha since 2014, before joining Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan in January. He helped Fortuna earn promotion to the German top flight.
Haraguchi, who has scored six goals in 32 matches for Japan, is part of the country’s 2018 FIFA World Cup squad.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place in Russia between June 14 and July 15. Japan will face Colombia, Poland and Senegal in Group H.
