MOSCOW, June 1 (Sputnik) - Moscow expects a "heavy traffic" of heads of state and other high-ranking officials to visit Russia during this summer's FIFA World Cup, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
"The whole list is already known. There will always be quite a lot heads of state and government coming for different matches featuring their [national] teams. Intense preparations are already underway. It will be not just a huge, global sports festival but also a heavy traffic of high-level guests," Peskov told journalists.
Russia will host its first-ever FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15. The fixtures will be played at 12 stadiums across 11 cities.
