MOSCOW, June 15 (Sputnik) - Iran edged Morocco 1-0 in the their first match at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia on Friday after Morocco forward Aziz Bouhaddouz headed in an own goal late into injury time.
The match took place at the 64,000-seater St. Petersburg Stadium.
Reigning European champions Portugal will take on 2010 World Cup winners Spain in the second Group B match of the day in Sochi later on Friday.
