Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the World Cup, Arkady Dvorkovich, has asked Moscow-based employers to let their fans set to who will attend the opening match to knock off early.
"I ask you to let your employees leave work earlier in order to attend the World Cup match - it's very important that viewers arrive at the stadium in advance, come to the arena on time and enjoy the World Cup opening ceremony and the match itself," a document released by Dvorkovich said.
The opening match will be held at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Arena and will kick off at 1:00am AEST.
