The squad includes Juventus defender and Morocco captain Medhi Benatia, who made his international debut in 2009 and has played for his country at three Africa Cup of Nations. The 31-year-old has won a total of 55 caps for Morocco and scored two goals.

Morocco have been drawn in Group B where they will face 2010 FIFA World Cup winners Spain, reigning European champions Portugal and Iran.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15 with the games set to take place at 12 stadiums in 11 cities across the country.
