MOSCOW, July 15 (Sputnik) - Most Russians will support Croatia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup final, even though they think France will most likely score a victory, a poll conducted ahead of the match by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) revealed on Sunday.
According to the poll, a total of 61 per cent of Russians are planning to watch France - Croatia encounter, with 58 per cent staying at home or at work for this occasion, while only two per cent will watch the game in a bar or a cafe and one per cent will be in the Fan zone in Moscow at the time of the game.
"A little over a third of the respondents (35 per cent) will support Croatia in the upcoming final and 31 per cent root for France. That said, 41 per cent of the respondents think that France will take the World Cup trophy home, while only 39 per cent believe in Croatia's victory," the materials of the survey obtained by Sputnik said.
The poll was conducted among 1,600 adult respondents on Thursday and has a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points.
