MOSCOW, June 7 (Sputnik) - The Panama coaching staff and players have arrived in Moscow ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Panamanian Football Federation said Thursday.
The team, who have qualified for the World Cup for the first time, will next travel to their World Cup base camp in Saransk, around 320 miles southeast of Moscow.
"We're in Russia! The national team have arrived in Moscow, Russian capital, from where they will move on to Saransk, where they will be based [during the World Cup]," the federation posted on Twitter.
Panama will play Belgium, Tunisia and England in Group G at the World Cup.
On Tuesday, Iran became the first foreign team to arrive in Russia for the tournament.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will take place at 12 stadiums across 11 cities from June 14 to July 15.
