Portugal, who are currently level at the top of Group B with four points, will play Iran, who have three points, at Saransk's Mordovia Arena on Monday.

"The Spain match is already in the past. It was bright... We don't think that we're already in the playoffs, we respect our opponents [Iran]. We should be modest and appreciate the importance of this match. This is our chance to make it to the next round. We'll try to go all-out, as this is what we do in every match," Pepe told journalists.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
