MOSCOW, June 29 (Sputnik) - A separate meeting between Russia President Vladimir Putin and Spain’s King Felipe VI, arriving to Russia for the World Cup, is not scheduled because the monarch will only attend one match, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.
On Thursday, Spanish Embassy in Moscow said that the king would come to Moscow to support his national team in their World Cup encounter with hosts Russia at Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday.
“A separate meeting is not planned. The king’s schedule accounts for a quite short stay in Moscow, basically, he will only arrive for the match and will leave the Russian Federation immediately after. Of course, Moscow will be glad to welcome the king of Spain,” Peskov said.
