MOSCOW, June 4 (Sputnik) - The Russian Football Union has released the squad numbers that will be worn by Russia’s players during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The numbers given to the players in Russia’s 23-man squad:
Goalkeepers: #1 Igor Akinfeev, #20 Vladimir Gabulov, #12 Andrey Lunev;
Defenders: #14 Vladimir Granat, #4 Sergey Ignashevich, #13 Fedor Kudryashov, #3 Ilya Kutepov, #5 Andrey Semyonov, #23 Igor Smolnikov, #2 Mario Fernandes;
Midfielders: #8 Yury Gazinsky, #17 Aleksandr Golovin, #9 Alan Dzagoev, #21 Aleksandr Yerokhin, #18 Yury Zhirkov, #11 Roman Zobnin, #7 Daler Kuzyaev, #19 Aleksandr Samedov, #16 Anton Miranchuk, #6 Denis Cheryshev;
Forwards: #15 Aleksey Miranchuk, #22 Artem Dzyuba, #10 Fedor Smolov.
The FIFA World Cup gets underway on June 14, with the final to be played on July 15. The hosts have been drawn in Group A along with Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay.
