NEUSTIFT IM STUBAITAL, May 31 (Sputnik) - CSKA Moscow and Russia veteran defender Sergey Ignashevich trained individually ahead of the team's return to Moscow from their training camp in Austria, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Russia were beaten by Austria 1-0 in a warm-up match that took place in the Austrian city of Innsbruck. The 38-year-old veteran played all 90 minutes making his 121st international appearance and becoming the oldest player ever capped both for the USSR and Russia.
Stanislav Cherchesov's preliminary World Cup squad are spending their last day at the camp in Austria, where they have been training since May 21. Acting President of the Russian Football Union Alexander Alaev attended the team's last training session at the camp.
The team are set to fly back home later on Thursday ahead of their final warm-up friendly against Turkey in Moscow on June 5.
Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time from June 14 to July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities. The hosts will play Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay in Group A.
