Russia will kick off the World Cup with a match against Saudi Arabia at Moscow's 81,000-seater Luzhniki Stadium on Thursday.

"I'll definitely go to the stadium on Thursday. I hope the guys win and put in a good performance. These victories are vital for us now, and I'm sure that the guys will do their best. We have very good players and I believe in them. I hope they get a good result," Anokhin said.

Russia will host its first-ever FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities across the country. The host nation will play Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Uruguay in Group A.
