KALININGRAD, May 30 (Sputnik) - Russian and Serbian chefs will take part in a "Meat vs Fish" competition in the Baltic Sea resort of Svetlogorsk, just outside Kaliningrad, where the Serbian national football team will be based during this summer's FIFA World Cup, the Kaliningrad Region's Culture and Tourism Minister Andrey Ermak told Sputnik Wednesday.
"There are many projects with the Serbs too. We will open a garden square of Russian-Serbian friendship in Svetlogorsk, where we will plant a Russian birch and a Serbian oak. Since the Serbia squad will be staying in Svetlogorsk for some time, we want to organize a competition... 'Meat vs Fish,' and stage football game between fans," Ermak said.
Russia's first-ever World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities across the country, including Kaliningrad, where four group-stage matches will be played at the 35,000-seater Kaliningrad Arena.
Croatia will play Nigeria in Kaliningrad on June 16, Serbia will meet Switzerland on June 22, Spain will play against Morocco on June 25 and England will take on Belgium on June 28.
