“The menu of the restaurant cars will include hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks and alcoholic beverages (wine and beer) no stronger than 16.5 percent,” the spokesperson said, adding that Russian traditional dishes, such as solyanka, cabbage soup (shchi) and pancakes would also be on the menu.

Passengers can also choose from vegetarian, meat and fish dishes, as well as hot and cold snacks, the representative added.

As many as 734 additional trains with a total capacity of 448,000 passengers will be put into service to provide free transportation for fans and FIFA-accredited journalists. In order to receive free travel, passengers need a valid ticket to at least one of the tournament’s games and a Fan ID.

Russia will host the FIFA World Cup for the first time from June 14 to July 15. The games are set to be held in 11 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg.
