NEWCASTLE Jets have smashed the price of next season's membership fees with basic packages costing just $8.85 a game for adults and $4.30 each a game for a family of five.
Newcastle Jets today unveiled their cut-price Community Membership and Corporate packages for next season's 13 home games and set a new benchmark for A-League prices.
"The Hunter Sports Group and Newcastle Jets are proud to launch affordable Community Membership Packages for the football community of the Hunter and Northern NSW," said Robbie Middleby, Jets CEO.
"When you consider what admission prices we were able to do at the backend of last year's Jets season, we are ecstatic that we have been able to keep community memberships affordable, and give fans real value for money."
All the membership packages include exclusive merchandising but the Junior Members - for under 16s and included in the family packages - get a bumper deal.
As well as entry to all 13 home games, they will also get a Jets Backpack, Football, Team Poster and invitation to a Football Clinic with the Jets Squad.
Existing members can arrange to keep their current seats under the new deal.
Membership prices begin at $60 for Juniors, $90 for concessions, $115 for adults, $240 for a family of three, $260 for f/four, $280 for f/five and $300 for f/six. All packages can also be paid off over ten months by credit card.
The Jets also released Gold, Silver, International and Regional Memberships (for those 100km from Newcastle and giving entry to three games).
The Gold package prices start at $240 for adults or $580 for a family of four, or Silver at $160 or $400 for a family of four.
"We understand from our supporters and members that there are a diverse range of needs, and we have tried to fulfill all of those," saiod Middleby
"If you are living in Madrid, Melbourne, Muswellbrook or Merewether and want to continue to support the Jets, we have a package to suit everyone."
Hunter Sports Group CEO Troy Palmer added: "We want everyone to have the opportunity to support our local teams competing on the national stage.
"We believe we've delivered that with the incredible Membership Packages now on sale for the Newcastle Jets 2011/12 season.
"We're working towards another Championship, a repeat of the electrifying times experienced in 2007/08, and we want our entire community behind us.
"We've set an ambitious target of 10,000 Ticketed Members for the 2011/12 season."
The Jets also launched their Corporate hospitality; with an ambitious plan to make the Newcastle Jets home games the Hunter's leading entertainment and sporting attraction this summer.
"Ausgrid Stadium is a world class facility that provides us with a venue to rival any across the country. This will be the stadium that no opposition will want to visit," said Michael Bridges, Business Development Manager.
Corporate packages will include the Chairman's Lounge as well as private suites and open air boxes for local businesses and the launch of the Jets Business Club, which includes two season passes and signed merchandise.
Palmer added: "To be truly successful, we need the community and business community to support the Jets.
"Membership is the best measure of a club's off field stability and success, and we've set an ambitious goal to build the biggest membership in the A-League."
