Ahead of the 2017/18 Grand Final, FourFourTwo's esteemed group of writers put their heads together to select their A-League Team of the Season.
Luke Wilkshire (Sydney FC)
The veteran Sky Blues right-back rounds out an all-Sydney back four. Returned to Australia with a strong campaign, where he was reliable with 1,280 passes in 25 appearances. More defensive than attacking, but rock solid.
MIDFIELDERS
Daniel Arzani (Melbourne City)
Prodigious talent who emerged in 2017/18 with a sparkling campaign, which brought calls for a Socceroos call-up, despite being only 19. Arzani won the A-League Young Footballer of the Year despite only 18 appearances. He scored twice and provided three assists, but it was his skill and ability to beat defenders which grabbed attention.

Josh Brillante (Sydney FC)
Composed holding midfielder who kept things ticking all season for the premiers. The 25-year-old had the third-most passes in the A-League, with 1,608. The former Fiorentina man seldom missed a beat, with strong stamina and the ability to break up play.

Adrian Mierzejewski (Sydney FC)
Deserved Johnny Warren Medal winner after a staggering campaign following his move from UAE club Al Sharjah. Adrian scored 13 goals and created nine assists - the second most in the A-League. His wide-play was a feature, with 116 crosses, but he was a threat everywhere and clinical in the front third.
