A wild battle in the West saw Perth Glory come back from being a goal down to win 2-1 against Central Coast Mariners in Round 3 of the A-League at nib Stadium on Sunday.
In a match that should have had a few more goals, much like their 3-3 draw last season, it was a day full of chances.
But it was Wout Brama for the visitors who was able to find the back of the net with a strike that flew past Liam Reddy, for the Mariners’ only goal.
And although the Mariners started well, Captain, Andy Keogh equalised for his side, and after many chances, Adam Taggart scored the winner.
PERTH GLORY
Liam Reddy - 7
Rose in the air to claim the ball many times and kept Perth in the game.
Could not do much about Brama’s rocket to opening the scoring.
Jeremy Walker - 7
Caught on the break early, in a chance that was too close for comfort for the Glory defence.
But made great tackles to re-establish himself and worked well with Harold and Castro but wasn’t able to contain Pain.

Scott Neville - 6.5
The former Wanderer was caught out a lot by Appiah and Asdrubal, but he made some crucial clearances.
Shane Lowry - 7.5
Blocked a threatening low shot by Asdrubal in the sixth minute.
Met Castro’s corner to head wide of the post in a good effort that came dangerously close, and sent a long ball to Taggart for their second goal.
Joseph Mills - 5.5
Was fairly quiet throughout the match but was able to string together a few passes.
