For this game, Central Coast Mariners nominated the Macquarie United FC. The Central Coast Mariners scored a resounding 4-1 in their game against Perth Glory last Friday evening; ensuring the Macquarie United FC received a $5,000 donation from Hyundai.
“Coming from a rural area it is hard to secure the funding we need to give our member the best facilities and equipment and this donation from Hyundai will allow us to build our club and offer more ensuring our future is going in the right direction” said Geoff Rankin of the Macquarie United FC.
“These clubs and their members are part of the future for football in Australia and the Hyundai ‘Goals for Grassroots’ program is a great way to ensure that the future is being cared for even in our rural communities” said Sasho Petrovski, key forward for Central Coast Mariners.
