It has emerged that the former Perth Glory defender has a clause in his Jets contract that allows him to put pen to paper in Europe, should a club move for him before the end of next week.

Topor-Stanley is in the UK at the moment but the Jets remain hopeful that he will remain their player and report for duty in the Asian Champions League next month.

Coach Gary van Egmond told the Herald: "There's no guarantee, but we're banking on him coming.

"He hasn't got a club at the moment [in Europe] that are 100 per cent looking to sign him, so we're registering him for the ACL.

"As far as we're concerned, we're looking at it that he will be playing for us, but there's always a chance that he could get a contract (overseas)."

However, the club insist that the same clause does not apply to clubs from Asia who might be anxious to snare Topor-Stanley.
